The SVI index combines 16 census variables such as poverty, racial and ethnic minority status, transportation, and household characteristics into a composite index to evaluate overall disaster vulnerability for different counties and census tracts. Data is displayed in a web map. Data can also be downloaded from the web site. Data is available for all counties and census tracts in the US.
